Sky To Extend LOTR Premiere Coverage
Sky To Extend Its Coverage Of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King World Premiere
SKY Television's LIVE red carpet special from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King world premiere in Wellington on Monday, December 1 will now screen from 5pm to 7pm on the SKY Movies channel.
The two-hour special is the first LIVE television event to be broadcast on SKY Movies and will be followed by a screening of the first movie in Peter's Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
The SKY Movies special has also gained another host; Mark Leishman will now join veteran SKY presenter Stephen McIvor and his SKY Scene co-host Jo Hathaway on the red carpet in Wellington in the lead-up to the big event.
As well as interviewing the stars, the special will showcase the day's events giving viewers the chance to see all the action as it unfolds.
The SKY Movies coverage promises to be the most 'movie'-orientated out of all the television coverage of the event, as it does not have to incorporate a news bulletin into the time on-air. SKY is also limiting the commercial time within the 2 hours to no more than 10 minutes per hour.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Red Carpet Special LIVE from Wellington from 5pm Monday, December 1 on SKY Movies.
