Free Hairdos at Hairdressers Convention in Upper Hutt.
Upper Hutt is expecting a “hairdressers convention” at lunchtime tomorrow (Thursday 11 March) when “Osadia”- the Spanish Hairdressers make their first appearance at this year’s NZ International Festival of Arts at a free performance from 11.30am to 2pm in Expressions Rotary Foyer. The two Barcelona based artists will lure members of the public into the consulting chair and perform their sculpting hair works. They are renowned at working very quietly to create wacky hairstyles.
Stephanie Cottrill, Director of Expressions says she is hoping for a “hairdresser’s convention” as they have issued invitations to local hairdressers and hairdressing training colleges in the Wellington Region.
“Osadia” also perform at the Toyota Festival Picnic at Harcourt Park Upper Hutt on Saturday 13 March 1-5pm.
