First Snows Of Winter Arrive
Cardrona Alpine Resort is once again looking white after early season snowfalls in the last few days. These early falls will lower the ground’s temperature and prepare the way for the season’s snow base and opening day on 24 June.
The snow hasn’t hampered work on the new Whitestar Express lift which is right on schedule. The top station of the new high-speed quad is nearly complete, all the towers are installed and the cross arms and pulley batteries were flown in last weekend. Work is currently under way on the bottom station.
To keep up to date with the latest lift progress check out the web site at www.cardrona.com/whitestar.asp. The web cams are also up and running so you can monitor the latest snow conditions at www.cardrona.com/cam.asp.
