Snow Forecast For Wanaka Street JIB
Snow Forecast For Wanaka Street JIB
Snow is forecast for 6pm on Wanaka’s Lakefront on Wednesday 28 July. Building on the huge success of the Dunedin and Invercargill events that each attracted thousands of spectators, the Cadbury Moro Street Jib is coming to Wanaka.
A truck-load of snow from Cardrona Alpine Resort, the daunting 6.5m long, 3m high Street Jib Rail mounted on a classic Holden car and four metre high launch ramp will test the nerves and skills of skiers and boarders as they throw down their best rail slides for a piece of the $1,000 prize money. Pumping tunes, gravity-defying slides and spectacular spills will all add to the atmosphere for a great night out for all the family.
The field is limited to 35 competitors and entry costs
$20 at the Cardrona Town office in Wanaka. While the
competition is open to everyone, experience at rail jibbing
is highly
recommended.
