TVNZ Appoints Senior Commissioner – Popular Factual

TVNZ today announced the key appointment of Tony Manson to the role of Senior Commissioner, Factual Programmes.

Joining TVNZ from Greenstone Pictures Ltd where he has worked as Senior Executive Producer since 2000, Tony brings over twenty years experience to his new position.

His television production career began in the late 1980s and since, his Producer credits include “Heroes” “Shipwreck”, “Serious Crash Unit”, “Epitaph”, “Motorway Patrol”, “Across the Ditch” and the award-winning documentary “Cave Creek”.

Tony Holden, TVNZ General Manager Commissioning and Production, says, ”Tony has a wealth of knowledge and experience as a Producer and Director and is one of this country’s most respected talents. I’m delighted he is going to join what is now a very powerful Commissioning team here at TVNZ. The industry will, I’m sure, applaud having a person with Tony’s independent production experience in this commissioning role.”

Tony takes up his position mid September.
