FINLANDIA MIXES WITH FASHION FOR OFFICIAL AIR NEW ZEALAND FASHION WEEK COCKTAIL

Finlandia Vodka is set to mix it up again with the fashion elite, with confirmation of the premium brand as the official vodka of Air New Zealand Fashion Week for the second year in a row.

And to mark the occasion, Finlandia Vodka is releasing the official Air New Zealand Fashion Week vodka cocktail, the Flightless Fin, a kiwifruit based vodka martini using Finlandia Lime Fusion Vodka.

Designers, media and other fashionable guests will have their first taste of the Flightless Fin this Thursday 9 September when it is served as the welcome drink at the Hilton Designer Cocktail competition.

Among the 10 designers competing in the “shake-off”, Kate Sylvester and WORLD will be mixing cocktails using Finlandia Vodka.

As the official vodka of Air New Zealand Fashion Week, Finlandia Vodka will be served on site at this year’s collections, being held from 18-21 October at a new venue at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour.

The Flightless Fin will be served at the main bar and at the VIP Welcome Dinner on Sunday 17 October.

The public will also be able to sample this designer cocktail on request at bars serving Finlandia throughout the month of October.

Finlandia is available in Classic, Lime Fusion and Cranberry Fusion flavours.

Flightless Fin Recipe:

50ml (double shot) Finlandia Lime Fusion Vodka

½ squeezed lime

Flesh of 1 kiwifruit

2 teaspoons of sugar

Dash of De Kuyper Melon Liqueur

Muddle fruits and sugar in a solid-based tumbler to release the juices. Add vodka and melon liqueur and drain/stir. Serve in a Martini glass with a slice of kiwifruit on the side.
