20 CARS UP FOR GRABS IN LOTTO'S MINI AND MONARO MEGA PROMOTION

Summer slips into gear with daylight saving and Lotto's celebrating by giving customers the chance to win one of 20 cars engineered for summer fun.

To win one of 10 MINI Coopers or 10 Holden Monaro CV8s, customers must purchase a Lotto Triple Dip between 3 October and 16 October 2004.

The 20 lucky winners will be announced on Saturday 16 October on the 9pm Lotto results announcement on TV2.

"This promotion is one of the biggest ever for Lotto - we're giving away 10 MINI Coopers and 10 Holden Monaros which are two of the most popular prizes with our customers", says New Zealand Lotteries Commission Chief Executive Trevor Hall.

Since the changes to Lotto took effect on 8 August, customers have had even more chances to win with Triple Dips. And, with this promotion, every Triple Dip has five chances to win big with Lotto, Lotto Strike, Lotto Powerball, Lotto's Winning Wheel and a brand new car.

So far, seven Lotto players have become Winning Wheel winners. Each winner and a support person have been flown to Wellington to appear on the live draw to spin the wheel for fantastic prizes. So far the winners have taken away a range of prizes including a Volkswagen Golf and a cash prize of $250,000.
