Adeaze and Aaradhna to Play at Patea Paepae
MEDIA RELEASE DATE: 13 JANUARY 2005
Adeaze and Aaradhna to Play at Patea Paepae
Following on from last years stunningly successful ‘Paepae in the Park’, the Patea community is determined to make this year’s event even bigger and brighter says South Taranaki District Council Events and Venues Coordinator, Daniel Keighley . Judging by the talent lined up already that is exactly how things are shaping up with confirmation that Polynesian R&B duo, Adeaze, and contemporary R&B/Soul singer, Aaradhna will be playing at the Paepae.
“I am extremely excited about this event,” says Daniel. “At last years Paepae we saw over 3,000 people dancing in the sun on Waitangi weekend to Nesian Mystik and fabulous local artists. This year we have a bigger sound system, a much bigger food and arts village, top musicians Adeaze and Aaradhna with two singles in the top 10 – and many more fantastic local acts in music and dance. It is going to be an awesome day,” he says.
The Paepae in the Park is just one of many special events held throughout New Zealand as part of the Waitangi Weekend celebrations.
The free show starts at 10:00 am, Saturday 5 February, behind the big Waka in Patea.
