CALL FOR ENTRIES
The Auckland Festival of Photography is seeking entries from photographers for presentation in an exhibition in June 2005. Auckland has many diverse communities that engage in traditional and contemporary, small private or large public, gatherings for the purpose of having “A Bit of A Do”.
The theme of the exhibition is “A Bit of A Do” – images which show social and cultural events that are the glue to a community, private traditions such as christenings, birthdays, weddings even funerals or public social, religious or political events such as parades, festivals, new year, graduations, demonstrations even - all can be cause for “A Bit of A Do”.
The exhibition will be held in Avondale and will show twice as many photographers work than last year. “This is one of our signature participation events and we want to see contemporary Auckland images from a range of photographers being submitted” says the Auckland Festival of Photography Trust. Entries close 18th March 2005.
