Warriner - First NZ Woman To Win Triathlon World Cup Title

Orca congratulates Sam Warriner on being the first ever New Zealand woman to win an ITU World Cup race yesterday in Ishigaki, Japan.

“Sam beat the sweltering heat and an impressive field to come home in convincing style,” says Orca Director, Scott Unsworth.

“She’s the number one woman in New Zealand and it’s great to see her taking it to the next level on the world circuit, especially against a field that includes world number one Loretta Harrop.

“It’s fantastic to see New Zealand showing its dominance in Triathlons internationally. With Sam’s superb result yesterday and Terenzo’s recent achievements in the States, Orca’s proud to be supporting athletes that are making their mark on the international stage.”
