Stephen Bradbourne: glass and ceramics
The Studio Gallery announces:
stephen bradbourne
glass and ceramics
This show is about hand-made, user friendly, functional pottery and decorative blown glass.
The
pottery is a continuation of previous work with a focus on
functional,
decorative vessels, made with care and
attention by hand through every step of the process. 100%
hand made, to be used by hand. The glass is a continuation
of work focusing on the traditional Italian Murrine
technique. The use of this technique serves as a starting
point in the design process. Combining this detailed mosaic
style with strong, clean forms, Stephen aims to 'up-date'
and bring a contemporary feel to the technique, in order to
create decorative and functional objects for modern
interior spaces.
