Williams Up Front Week Beginning August 1 2005
Wednesday &
Thursday at 8.00pm,
SKY News Australia New Zealand, (SKY
Channel 54)
Williams Up Front immediately precedes the
SKY News screening of 3News at 8.30pm
Award winning broadcaster, Larry Williams, deals to current affairs in a straightforward and provocative manner. His "no spin" approach cuts through the rhetoric as he interviews the newsmakers and experts of the moment:
Wednesday 3 August - NIMBY's - not in my back yard - or in the case of the power pylons, is it BANANA's - Build Absolutely Nothing, Absolutely Not - Anywhere!
Transpower
has confirmed the final route for its controversial high
voltage power line through Waikato. The company has
confirmed it will stick to the interim route announced in
May for the proposed 190km transmission line between Otahuhu
and Whakamaru. Many landowners are horrified by the
prospect, saying the pylons will wreck their property
values, restrict the use of their land and damage their
health.
Guest: Dr Ralph Craven, CEO, Transpower
