Playwrights commission
2005
Young and Hungry Arts trust is currently seeking to commission playwrights of any age to create work that is acted, designed and admired by 15-25 year olds, and that we'll consider for production in the Young and Hungry Festival of New Works 2007.
* We will select five playwrights from the overall submissions to write a 60 minute play based around the theme AMBITION to the first draft stage.
* The play must have at least 6 characters and a special appeal to people aged 15-25.
* We will provide the 5 playwrights with a dramaturge to mentor them from their initial submission idea to the development of their first draft.
* A panel of four industry practitioners assesses the first 5 drafts scripts. 3 playwrights are selected from the initial 5 to be commissioned to a final draft.
Submissions are due October 31 2005.
