Send cards overseas early and save this Christmas
New Zealand Post is once again giving Kiwis the chance to send Christmas cards to family and friends overseas for just $1 this year, by offering a ’ten for $10’ deal on special international economy Christmas stamps from 5 October 2005.
Consumer Segment Marketing Manager Roy Ong said that the Christmas card booklet special was designed to reduce the stresses placed on Kiwis over the holiday season.
"Sending a card for $1 is great value and means a saving of up to $1 per item. We know that Christmas can be both a busy and an expensive time for our customers, and we hope that this will help ease the pressure for those who have family and friends overseas. “
In addition to the offer, every book of ten $1 Christmas stamps purchased will give customers a chance to win a $10,000 holiday, so that they may escape anywhere in the world to recover from the hectic Christmas period.
To take advantage of the offer, customers need to purchase a booklet of ten special $1 Christmas card stamps. The maximum card size eligible for the 2005 special has increased to C5, or 162mm x 229mm x 5mm, and the maximum weight remains 30 grams.
To make it more convenient for customers, this year’s $1 Christmas stamp includes the words “Christmas Card”. Each booklet also comes with 10 International Economy green stickers, which need to be affixed to the envelope for the cards to qualify for the special.
The $1 Christmas booklet is now available from all PostShops and post centres. The offer closes on 18 November for cards to Australia and the South Pacific, and 11 November for cards going to the rest of the world.
