Voters have until 8pm to decide next NZ Idol

Despite a congratulatory promotion being accidentally screened this afternoon, voting for NZ Idol is open until 8pm tonight – half an hour into the live final.

Two promos congratulating the eventual winner were made in preparation for tonight's results show, one for Nick and one for Rosita. One of these was played by mistake earlier today.

TVNZ apologises for the mistake, which does not affect the outcome of NZ Idol in any way.

The next NZ Idol will be revealed to the nation in tonight's live show, which features crosses to Rosita and Nick's home towns, performances from the Top 10, and of course the Top 2.
