'the koru club' exhibition - opening at PATAKA
Kia Ora,
'the koru club' exhibition opens at PATAKA on Saturday 5 November - an outstanding collection of works by contemporary artists who have been inspired by the work of Gordon Walters. The exhibition is a visually stunning collection in which artists (Maori and Pakeha) respond to Walters' works, continuing to develop the koru form and explore bicultural issues.
Please see the attached media release for information and names of artists featured in the exhibition. Four of the artists will be at the opening, and will discuss the impact of Walters' work on contemporary art (Chris Heaphy, Peter Adsett, Wayne Youle and Darryn George). For interviews with the artists, or with exhibition curator Helen Kedgley, please see below for contact details.
'the koru club' opens at 2pm on Saturday, with an exhibition preview for media at 1.30pm at PATAKA.
Many thanks,
