It’s gotta go….
It’s gotta go….
No-one on course at today’s Kapiti Harness meeting at the Otaki Racecourse managed to put all six horses in the correct order in the NZ Still Destination Summer Six Pack race challenge.
And that means that someone attending the final of 23 Destination Summer series events at Tauherenikau’s Waitangi Day meeting, who takes a punt on the six pack race, must win a car.
A feature of the Destination Summer meetings has been the chance to win one of two Ford Focus cars with the Summer Six Pack, which challenges punters to pick the first six horses in a chosen race in the correct order for a guaranteed terminating pool of $20,000. And if the full Six Pack was struck with an on-course ticket at a Destination Summer event, the lucky punter could also win one of the Fords.
“Since it did not go at the Kapiti meeting today, it must go at Tauherenikau – if not won outright, the car will be terminated too, and a draw will be made from the tickets that got closest on countback” says Racing Board Racing Manager Michael Dore.
”It’s been an amazing summer of racing, with many on-course records being broken around the country. And for someone at Tauherenikau today it’s going to be an unforgettable experience.”
