Top of the Pops Saturday February 17 2006
Top of the Pops Saturday February 17th 5pm - 6pm TV2 TV Guide Best on the Box "Best Music Show"
Never one to let a five day week trip him up, Bede is taking consolation in the fact that this week we have a knock-out show lined up and an international band live in the studio. Well, okay so Thirsty Merc is only coming from as far away as Sydney, but it's still pretty exciting!
These guys have been taking New Zealand by storm and this Friday they'll be giving us a performance of "In The Summertime", which is currently at number 16 in the charts, plus a little taster of "My Completeness", their next single off their debut album for the studio audience.
Not to be out-done by our Aussie neighbours, in the red corner and weighing in at 600 pounds, we've got Goodnight Nurse and Frontline with their latest singles… watch out Thirsty Merc!!!
Standing by with a water bottle and a dry towel are performances from the likes of Ashlee Simpson, Aaradhna, and The Strokes… Phew! Wanting everyone to go home with a prize, Bede has scored two double passes to three Fat Freddy's Drop gigs to give away - all you have to do is head to the Top of the Pops page on www.tvnz.co.nz to enter the draw. While you're there check out the latest album to be won from Thirsty Merc and the My Life Story DVD. Bede said it would be a knock-out show!
