New Zealand wins Beach Volleyball Tournament
Kirk Pitman and Jason Lochhead, representing New Zealand, convincingly won the L.A.Menthol Beach Volleyball tournament in Kuta Beach, Bali last weekend, capping an undefeated tournament with a 2 nil win over Indonesia in the final.
This is an exciting continuation of the Asian tour: New Zealand is the current tour leader, having won the past two tournaments played in Thailand.
The team is now
looking to forward to the SWATCH FIVB Beach Volleyball Tour
06, playing next in the Men's season opener in Shanghai,
China, 23 - 27 May, then onto Zagreb, Croatia, 31 May - June
4.
These competitions are integral in the build up towards the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where New Zealand needs to get into the top 22 by 2008 to qualify for the Olympics.
