Sky’s Provocative Political And Current Affairs Show, Williams Up Front, Returns For A New Season

SKY Television’s political affairs show Williams Up Front, hosted by award winning broadcaster, Larry Williams, will begin its new season Thursday June 8, 2006 at 9:30pm on SKY News Australia New Zealand (SKY digital channel 54). The weekly show will also replay Friday at midnight on SKY NEWS Australia New Zealand and every Saturday at midday on PRIME.

Over the past year, Williams Up Front has gained a reputation for asking the questions from which others shy away. Larry Williams will probe those individuals who are setting the news agenda, from politicians and strategists to business leaders and campaigners. Williams will be joined by guests each show for a lively hour of discussion.

"Williams Up Front is an all encompassing current affairs show. This will be about the politics behind the issues that shake and stir the nation. It will certainly be a 'no spin' zone," says broadcaster Larry Williams.

According to SKY’s Director of Communications, Tony O’Brien, SKY is eagerly anticipating the return of Williams Up Front. “The first season of Williams Up Front proved that there is a loyal audience for this type of programme amongst key influencers and decision makers throughout New Zealand. We are delighted to broadcast a second season of the show. The new one hour format for Williams Up Front will give Larry and his guests the time to debate current issues in-depth,” says Mr O’Brien.
