The Literary Six Pack
Kiwi book groups can quench a word thirst during New Zealand Book Month by going in the draw to win one of 10 sets of The Six Pack and reading discussion notes.
The Six Pack is an anthology of New Zealand short stories and poems from six new and established writers. Thirty thousand copies of the book are being printed as part of the first-ever New Zealand Book Month, with copies to be gifted to schools and libraries nationwide. It will retail for $6 in bookstores.
To celebrate Book Month, the New Zealand Book Council and New Zealand Book Month are running a book group giveaway. Entering book groups will go in the draw for one of 10 book group packs, each containing 10 copies of The Six Pack, as well as discussion notes. Email competitions@bookcouncil.org.nz to go in this draw. Entries close Friday 29 September.
New Zealand Book Month runs from 18 September to 15 October 2006.
