Victor Hawkins-Sulfa is the first eliminated NZ IDOL
In tonight's live NZ IDOL results show (at 8pm on TV2), contestant Victor Hawkins-Sulfa (19 years from Papatoetoe in Auckland) was the first person to be eliminated from the NZ IDOL Top 10.
Victor's song this week was Love Child by Diana Ross. Previously he has sung Can We Talk by Tevin Campbell at the regional piano round in Auckland and in the theatre round he sang For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder
"It was certainly a surprise to see Victor go first from the top 10 especially considering he has such a lot of musical talent. I definitely except to see Victor in the New Zealand music industry in the near future," says NZ IDOL judge, Megan Alatini.
The remaining NZ Top 10 contestants are: Aroha Robinson from Mt Maunganui, Ashlee Fisher from Hamilton, Beck Wright from Auckland, Ben Hazelwood from Wellington, Clinton Randell from Auckland, Indira Moala from Auckland, Kali Kopae from Christchurch, Matt Saunoa from Levin and Toni Baird from Wellington.
Next week's NZ IDOL theme is Rock. Don't miss the next instalment of NZ IDOL on Sunday at 7.30pm on TV2.
