SHORTFUSE HITS WELLINGTON
The Moving Image Centre is bringing their Shortfuse program to Wellington for the first time. The format of the evening will be similar to Auckland with a short film screening followed by a VJ session afterwards. The VJ session will take place in the bar area of the Archive's Mediaplex (cnr of Taranaki and Ghuznee Streets).
The short films will be based primarily on the program from Auckland with additions of more local Welly content to enable local directors to talk about their work.
When and Where: The initial launch will be on the 14th September at 8:15pm at the Film Archives Mediaplex

WRITING OUTSTANDING SHORTS
Script-toScreen is
bringing their successful "Writer's Room" event to
Wellington. Filmmakers Taika Waititi (Two Cars, One Night,
Tama Tu), Zia Mandviwalla (Eating Sausage) and Veialu
Aila-Unsworth (Blue Willow)will speak about their filmmaking
processes and experiences. The event will be MC'd by Te
Radar.
When and Where: Tuesday, 19th of September, 6pm, Katipo Cafe, 76 Willis Street, Wellington ($5 donation at the door)
