Reign of the Kitchen Queens
Delicious discussions will be the flavour of the day when leading New Zealand foodies Lauraine Jacobs and Ruth Pretty take to the stage at Wellington's City Gallery.
Dubbed the 'high-priestess' of the international food and wine scene, Lauraine Jacobs is a Cuisine food editor, food award judge, restaurant reviewer and a tireless champion of New Zealand's regional speciality foods. She has just released her first solo cookbook, The Confident Cook, which is a collection of her favourite Cuisine recipes.
Caterer, food writer and cooking school instructor Ruth Pretty is also releasing a collection, Ruth Pretty's Favourite Recipes. Both authors will be available to sign their books at this New Zealand Book Council event.
