“Free Hugs Project”
The Kiwi PC Has Concluded Conducting The “Free Hugs Project”
After touring the country since November 2006, Edward Swift, producer and front-man of The Kiwi PC, has hugged over 60 strangers in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and, last Saturday, Nelson.
“We got a great response in Nelson, and they came out on top with 29 hugs,” said Mr. Swift.
This compares to 24 in Wellington, 17 in Christchurch and 12 in Auckland
“It really shows that New Zealand is a very friendly place. I’m very happy with the results we achieved. We would love to take the project to Dunedin and Invercargill, but we will have to see how things pan out this year.”
“I’d like to thank everyone involved in the project,” said Mr. Swift, “especially the public that have supported it and my crew, who I could not have done this without.”
Throughout the filming, The Kiwi PC has had eight different crew members, all from the host cities.
All videos will be online on February 1 2007 and can be found by searching “kiwipc” in channels on http://www.youtube.com/
