Best Value Music Festival of the Summer!
Best Value Music Festival of the Summer!

Vodafone X*Air features biggest names in New Zealand music
Even if you are not fussed about back-flipping motocyclists, forward flipping BMXers, BBoys or the world’s best skate boarders, Vodafone X*Air is still well worth a trip to the Wellington Waterfront for the music alone. For the price of a large Pizza - $25 - you’ll get a 2-day pass to one of the best concerts of the Summer.
Friday night (9 Feb) kicks off at 6pm with DJ Logikal followed by Auckland's premier pop-punk group Goodnight Nurse and the find of the Summer, Kora. Hip hop MC Sam Hansen aka PNC will keep the crowd grooving while New Zealand’s finest metal advocates Blindspott get ready to finish off the night.
Blindspott has played at Vodafone X*Air 3 times before but never in Wellington. Drummer Shelton Woolright; “We’re stoked to be playing at X*Air again, it is massive now, it’s always cool to check out the different sports and there’s always hot chicks”.
Saturday (10 Feb) is about kicking in the sun, savoring a few Jim Beams and tuning into a stellar lineup. Rock maestros Steriogram will begin at 12.00pm followed by New Zealand’s finest Hip-Hop producer P Money. Genre defying locals Shapeshifter will be on at 2.00pm and DJ Logikal and KD Lok an hour later.
The Capital’s ultimate good time groove band The Black Seeds have been selling out venues all over New Zealand and Australia and will be making their X*Air debut as the final act on Saturday.
The notorious after-parties will also be bigger than ever with the venue changed to the Loaded Hog and an impressive music lineup. Mike Fabulous from The Black Seeds will be playing at the free Jim Beam Sessions on Friday night along with Warrant of Fatness (featuring some of the lads from 48 May) and DJs Nave Nixxs and Lotion.
Saturday’s Official After-party is only $10 on the door and features P Money, Recloose and the Shapeshifter Soundsystem.
After a packed out event in 2006, capacity at Vodafone X*Air has been restricted to 15,000 per day. Tickets are selling fast so get to Real Groovy or www.vodafonexair.co.nz and buy a ticket - $15 a day or $25 for the double whammy.
