A hearty introduction for those hungry to
know more about the story of New Zealand art, and how we got
to where we are now.
This series of three seminars will bound through the last 100 years of New Zealand art history, situating Telecom Prospect 2007 within the larger narrative of New Zealand art by connecting the thematic concerns within the exhibition to their historical precedents.
In the second of these lectures William McAloon (Curator, Historical New Zealand Art, Te Papa) will speak on this history of' abstraction in New Zealand art.
