Underground Music Legends The Dead C: Free Gig
PRESS RELEASE
UNDERGROUND MUSIC LEGENDS: FREE GIG AT CITY GALLERY
THE DEAD C
Saturday 31 March, 8pm, City Gallery foyer, FREE
City Gallery Wellington is proud to present The Dead C this Saturday. These rarely seen noise-rock heroes will perform in the gallery foyer, within the midst of Telecom Prospect 2007: New Art New Zealand. Four colourful paintings by band member Michael Morley are a feature of Prospect.
Last year these underground legends, who very rarely play in the North Island, performed alongside Sonic Youth at the major ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ festival in the UK. This was at the invitation of Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, a major supporter.
The Gallery opens at 7pm, with music starting at 8pm. Local band Thought Creature will provide support for this free event.
