Radio Robot in the Hutt Valley
Radio Robot in the Hutt Valley 10 April 2007
Radio Robot 107.5FM is now broadcasting in the Hutt
Valley 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It’s programming consists of talks and interviews that focus on media analysis and perception control, philosophy, capitalist critique, environmental sciences and genetics.
Programmes are interspersed with interesting local music (including Wellingtron and Dr Versuvs).
Some of the more well known speakers include Noam Chomsky, Terrence McKenna, Robert Fisk, Naomi Klein and Jonathan Pilger.
The topics range from the real reasons for the US invasions (such as Iraq and Afghanistan), it’s hidden involvement in other conflicts and global affairs, the role the media plays in shaping public perception, and uncovering the myriad of agendas that power brokers (such as corporations, governments and militaries) keep hidden from their constituents.
Radio Robot 107.5FM runs its “surprise radio” 800-hour playlist on continual rotation, and is updated regularly.
Because it runs on the low-power FM range of frequencies, it is best picked up on accurately tuned radios, ie, digital radios.
