Rotary Conference benefits NZ Community
The Rotary conference held at The Centre,Kerikeri this weekend saw 470 business owners and decision makers reach into their community spirit and donate into the community in practical active manner, as well as enjoy a conference.
462 Northland children got a gift of 5 reading books valued at $50,000 plus 45 schools got a 10 book reading library to ensure reading starts early, and reduce the poverty gap for future employment. The book mountain was displayed at the conference.
$30,000 worth of BBQ equipment was provided for local parks and reserves in Kerikeri.
The Rotarians presented the gifts to the community to celebrate the success of the conference.The theme was "Swandris and Tuxedos" representing the rural and urban aspects of the NZ lifestyle. Rotary members present had a great time listening to success speakers , entertainers, and spent over $500,000 on the conference organisation, services, catering, accommodation,entertainment and retail spending, all within the Auckland and Northland community.
