This Coming Monday the 11th: HOWLTEAROA

Oh yeah, another feast of words and voices, free for all at the Southern Cross Bar on Abel Smith Street with both an open mic section and a special guest: Johanna Aitchison.
 
Special guest Johanna has worked as a lawyer, lived in a fishing village in Hokkaido, Japan, studied to be a teacher and written a mass of poems, some of which will soon be published in a book courtesy of Steele Roberts.
 
Come along and hear Johanna read and others read, or bring something yourself and get a hold of the mic, you can read originals of your own or something by a poet/writer you enjoy. 
 
Please Note: Howltearoa is now on the Second Monday of every month

Also, if you are feeling like your Mondays are really not quite up to scratch you can rely on the Southern Cross to consistently provide early week night entertainment.
 
First and Third Mondays of every Month: Accoustic Pioneers, unplugged goodness with regular guests and open mic sessions for people wanting to broadcast their own songs

Second Monday: HOWLTEAROA! Yeah!

Fourth Monday: Video Night, for all you essential alternate documentaries, conspiracy theories and truths you won't find in the mainstream media
