MEDIA RELEASE
14 June 2007
More writers in the library
More free author talks are taking place this June at your local library.
Central City Library invites you to hear author Sunny Jacobs on 20 June. She will be talking about her book Stolen Time, the extraordinary story to prove her innocence of a wrongful murder conviction of two police officers in 1976. After being finally released in 1992 from death row, Sunny now travels the world campaigning to raise awareness about the death penalty. This author talk is in conjunction with Amnesty International, Random House and Whitcoulls.
Award-winning short-story writer and novelist James George, author of Ocean Roads - a 2007 Montana NZ Book Awards fiction finalist - will be discussing and reading from his work at Mt Albert Community Library on 21 June.
