Book Specialists Wanted
Are you an expert on Art, Biographies or Business books and fancy spending the odd Saturday with other book lovers pricing and sorting books for the biggest annual Bookfair in Wellington?
Well, Downtown Community Ministry’s Bookfair Coordinator David Cross is inviting people with an intimate knowledge of the above categories, also university text books, to give him a call and help us make this year’s Bookfair better than ever.
“Many of our book sorters are experts in particular genres but we don’t quite have coverage across the whole range of books. If there are people willing to look over a specific section for us and give us their opinion then I’d be very keen to talk to them,” says Mr Cross.
“We get donated a fascinating range of books covering every imaginable topic. Someone with eagle eyes who knows their books will be able to locate the gems among them.”
The DCM van is now
picking up books all around the city and surrounding areas.
Private or business collections can be aranged by calling
the DCM office on 384 7699.
The Bookfair will be held on
the 1st and 2nd of September at the TSB Arena.
