Hinder Confirm New Zealand Show!

Hinder Confirm New Zealand Show!

Before rock descended into a mass, or rather mess, of make-up and hairspray in the 1980s there were bands that epitomised musicianship, great guitar driven rock, and timeless music.

Just when the music industry and the world at large began to suspect that there would never be another Aerosmith or another Van Halen, along comes Hinder bearing the all the right tunes, all the wrong attitude and all the good looks it takes to make rock ‘n’ roll exciting again.

Having met in 2001 in Oklahoma City’s college scene it would be nearly five years, countless live shows and an independently released EP before the hard yards paid off and the band found itself in the midst of the fiercest label bidding war of recent times.

To the band members themselves, the secret of their eruption into stardom is not much of a secret at all. It’s all about writing the songs and bringing the good times to live audiences worldwide. “We grew up watching Guns ‘n’ Roses and Motley Crue on MTV. We always wanted to be part of that.” Rock ‘n’ Roll is supposed to be fun. It is not supposed to be dead and boring. You’re not supposed to go to a concert and be pissed off and depressed. You go to a concert to get drunk and have fun with the band.”

The success of the band’s multi-platinum major label debut, Extreme Behaviour, driven by three smash singles (‘Get Stoned’, ‘Lips Of An Angel’ and ‘Better Than Me’) – and no doubt more to follow – will inevitably herald a horde of imitators as labels, managers and agents scramble to replicate the phenomenon. Until that happens, Ladies & Gentlemen, enjoy the real Hinder.
