And this time it’s for the kids.

The Kids 24 Hours- Deadline Theatre in association with The Edge and Q Theatre are proud to announce the return of KIDS 24 HOURS-Deadline Theatre on Sunday 30th September 2007 at The Herald Theatre.

KIDS 24 HOURS-Deadline theatre is a truly unique theatrical experience. 24 hours before the performance, five of Auckland’s hottest playwrights will be given a mystery prop and a separate envelope containing photos of three of Auckland’s leading actors. In the space of 12 hours, they must each write a brand new 10-minute play.

When the 12 hours are up, the playwrights will pass on their scripts to the selected five professional directors and their teams of three actors, who then have 12 hours to rehearse the new plays. At the end of 24 Hours the lights will go up on the stage at the Herald Theatre to an audience who will be presented with five of the hottest, freshest new plays for Kids (6-10 years old) ever seen in Auckland.
