Random Women

Random Women

Wellington fans of Marilyn Duckworth, Barbara Else and Shonagh Koea can catch these leading New Zealand writers when they celebrate the release of their latest books, published by Random House publishing.

Marilyn Duckworth’s fifteenth novel, Playing Friends, portrays a lively woman, who at 60 years of age decides to go flatting. Barbara Else’s novel, Wild Latitudes, is a wild romp through the gold rush of Dunedin in the mid-nineteenth century; and Shonagh Koea’s memoir, The Kindness of Strangers, has her looking back over a rich and varied store of memories that often centre on food.

All three of these thoroughly entertaining writers will discuss their life, loves, and latest books at the National Library on Wednesday 17 October. This is a New Zealand Book Council event proudly supporting Library Week 07.
