Toddle-tastic!
Toddle-tastic!
You’re never too young to start exercising and Barnardos is inviting all pre-schoolers to get active - in a novel way.
The Big Toddle is a nationwide sponsored walk organised by Barnardos New Zealand for all pre-schoolers. Raewyn Dodd from KidStart Nelson is inviting all childcare centres in Nelson and Motueka to join in the Big Toddle at the Centre of New Zealand at the end of October.
“Children receive sponsorship for their participation and the money raised will help children and families in need across New Zealand, so the Big Toddle is not only a great day out but it introduces children to the concept of helping others,” says Raewyn.
After a healthy morning tea of fruit (donated by MG Marketing) the kids and their parents will set off up to the Centre of New Zealand. Lee Corlett from Active Movement will be encouraging the group to be active in a fun and inspiring way.
Raewyn says participation in the Big Toddle is not limited to children and Barnardos encourage adult groups to hold Toddles for the benefit of New Zealand children.
The Nelson Big Toddle is at 10.30am on Tuesday 30th October at the Centre of New Zealand and there’s a Big Toddle in Motueka at Memorial Park on Friday 23rd November.
