Christmas in the Summertime- Schools Initiative

Christmas in the Summertime- Schools Initiative !

NZ's very own musical super-group for kids, The Funky Monkeys, are excited to announce their “Christmas in the Summertime” for schools initiative.

The Funky Monkey’s “Christmas in the Summertime” single and music video had significant airtime in the lead up to Christmas in 2006 and became a popular favourite with a New Zealand flavour in many primary schools.

This year The Funky Monkeys have made “Christmas in the Summertime” resources available to schools for free. A ‘ready to go’ overhead transparency, and an MP3 backing track and full version of the song can be downloaded from www.thefunkymonkeys.co.nz

Since 2003, The Funky Monkeys have been dedicated to providing the highest quality live musical entertainment to children everywhere. Vibrant performers Neil, Joe, Chris, and Dizzy Dog, have carefully crafted their engaging material for family audiences, ever drawing on their qualified backgrounds in primary school teaching, composing and live theatre work.

“The Funky Monkeys grew up in an era when we believe kids’ entertainment was in a golden age,” says performer Chris Lam Sam. “These days we feel families are hard pressed to find that same interactive, safe, and educational fun.”

They pride themselves in consistently producing material that enthrals both kids and grown ups. Their first ‘Jungle Party’ CD and DVD have proven popular with audiences, and are now sold nationwide via The Warehouse. In 2007, their captivating music videos aired on television countless times, and they are on target to perform live to over 250,000 people throughout the country.

The Funky Monkeys – setting a new standard for children’s entertainment in New Zealand.
