SKYCITY Cinemas Massive Christmas Blockbuster Line-Up
These holidays SKYCITY Cinemas brings you the best entertainment Hollywood has to offer with its line-up of Christmas blockbusters.
There’s something for everyone, from National Treasure 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular film starring Nicholas Cage, to The Golden Compass, based on the Carnegie Medal-winning novel by Phillip Pullman, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.
Other big blockbusters arriving at SKYCITY Cinemas in December include the next instalment of the sc-fi fantasy epic Alien vs. Predator in AVPR, as a small Colorado town becomes the site for the rematch between the battling extra-terrestrial clans.
And, don’t miss Enchanted, the charming tale of beautiful princess Giselle who is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical, animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern day Manhattan. Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
Also in the holiday line up are Bee Movie, Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium, Alvin & the Chipmunks and Good Luck Chuck. Opening on November 29, on SKYCITY Cinema’s giant IMAX screen, is the highly anticipated Beowulf in 3D followed by I Am Legend on IMAX 2D starring Will Smith.
Matthew Liebmann, General Manager SKYCITY Cinemas, said: “It’s an exciting time for movie goers at SKYCITY Cinemas. Our Christmas blockbuster movies will thrill young and old - there really is something for everyone to enjoy at SKYCITY Cinemas these holidays.”
