Celebrate the festive season with NZ Gardener
New Zealand Gardener magazine celebrates the festive season with ideas for a casual Christmas outdoors - plus the chance to win a share of $5000 worth of gardening gift vouchers.
There are 100 winning Gardening New Zealand gift cards, each worth $50, hidden in the pages of the December issue.
For festive inspiration, NZ Gardener food editor Alessandra Zecchini raids her herb garden to make homegrown pizzas and floral designer Fionna Hill offers unconventional ideas for Christmas trees.
To combat the parching summer sun, NZ Gardener also offers top tips to save water this summer, with irrigation advice and design tips for drought-tolerant gardens from award-winning designer Xanthe White.
The North Island Garden of the Month is Keith Lowe's hilltop garden in Wellington, while the South Island Garden of the Month is a small, formal garden in Christchurch.
Plus every December issue of NZ Gardener includes a free 2008 gardening calendar with stunning photos by leading gardening photographer Sally Tagg as well as hints for planting, growing and harvesting each month.
The December issue of NZ Gardener is on sale from Monday 26 December.
