Rock2wgtn
25% Of Availble Tickets To Rock2wgtn Sell In First 4 Days!
ROCK2WGTN the two day ‘monster’ rock festival production which spans Easter 2008 has already become the Christmas present of choice for thousands of New Zealanders.
Of the 40,000 plus capacity available for each day one quarter disappeared with the VISA Card presale on Monday and Tuesday and the MyTicketek members jumping in right behind them on Wednesday.
Promoter Phil Sprey of Capital C: Concerts stated that the early rush was a strong indication that the mixture of top artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Whitesnake and Lordi had appealed to the people who really know their music. A surprising number of families were planning to come which comments like ‘ our parents took us to KISS when they first toured , so we are now taking our family to see these bands. It’s history in the making.”
Unlike any production of its kind, ROCK2WGTN is more than just a series of bands playing in a traditional festival format. ROCK2WGTN is a theatrical production unlike anything ever seen in NZ, with pyrotechnics, lasers, stunt people, dancers, flame Effects, giant screens and sets designed at WETA Workshops Studios those attending either or both of the 5 hour back to back concerts will get a visual feast that they will never forget.
Ticketek is expecting the sales over the Christmas New Year period, especially online to continue at the hectic pace set in the first days. Even with a multitude of other touring artist in NZ over the first quarter of 2008, ROCK2WGTN is already in the lead for ticket sales.
