ROYAL NEW ZEALAND BALLET’S LATEST PRODUCTION IS RED HOT
The Royal New Zealand Ballet is electrifying audiences with its latest production RED, which opened to critical acclaim in Auckland last week.
Featuring three works, RED aims to offer audiences a varied and visually compelling trio of dance styles.
The production includes the work Paquita by the “father of classical ballet” Marius Petipa. This is followed by Adrian Burnett’s stunning work Abhisheka which is back by popular demand following its hugely successful debut in 2004. Finally, the season finishes with Jorma Elo’s Plan to A – a dynamic and original choreographic work unlike anything ever seen before in New Zealand.
From dance lovers to newcomers, this must-see production showcases the dynamic talents of New Zealand’s premier dance company.
“I was blown out of the water…it was electrifying” - Arts on Sunday, National Radio
“Stunning achievement,…riveting” - NZ Herald
