Harbour Heat players left feeling the burn

In2it's Hoop with the Heat went off with a bang last night with over seventy kids, from a variety of ages, challenging the Appliance Shed Harbour Heat players' basketball skills.

In2it is a product of North Shore City Council's Youth Destinations Project, which aims to get more 10-15 year olds physically active in their leisure time.

North Shore City's youth destinations project manager, Dan Kane, says the event provided kids with the opportunity to meet the players and create a bit of heat of their own.

"It was a night where skills were tested and sometimes shown off and everyone had a great time," he says.

"The Raise Up and Represent Crew were on hand to help out and we had heaps of And1 gear, basketballs, Harbour Heat season tickets and in2it apparel to give away.

"We've got more exciting events coming up over the next few weeks. Our 50meter monster of a slip n slide is back at Stafford Park, Fly a Kite Day and a BMX day at the end of April.
