Simon McKinney Sells Out Opening Night!
Proving that although there may be a slump in the economy the people still want comedy.
Performing as part of the 2008 NZ International Comedy Festival, Simon McKinney has already sold out his opening night at the San Francisco Bathhouse. “This being his first solo show as part of this world renowned Festival proves how audiences are valuing local comedy. It shows the value of initiatives such as the Billy T Award, for which he is nominated this year, and that we as a nation have recognised how funny we are.”Say producers of the show.
After storming Wellington’s First Laughs on Sunday night McKinney’s tickets have been flying out the door. Recognised from last years duo show with fellow Billy T Award nominee, Steve Wrigley, audiences were quick to make sure they booked ahead for what is sure to be a Festival highlight.
