Lotto's 200th Winning Wheel
Lotto's 200th Winning Wheel spinner, Jonathan Keast, has spun and won $125,000 on Lotto's Winning Wheel live draw tonight, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive Todd McLeay.
"The 200 Winning Wheel spinners have won a total of more than $40 million in prizes since it was introduced in August 2004," Mr McLeay says.
Jonathan, an account manager from Christchurch, travelled to Wellington with his partner Melissa to spin the wheel.
Jonathan is a regular Lotto player and his interests include hunting, fishing, golf, D.I.Y and basketball.
As part of his prize package, Jonathan and Melissa enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter Russell Harrison.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Countdown Upper Hutt in Wellington. The serial number is 996-26478343-20XX.
"Anyone who bought a ticket at this retailer should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries' outlet," Mr McLeay says.
