First New Zealander Appointed to the International Hostelling Board
Clive Croy, a Board Member and past Chairman of YHA New Zealand has been elected to the Board of the International Youth Hostel Federation.
72 countries are members of IYHF, with New Zealand having just 2 votes out of a possible maximum of 139 votes “Once again, New Zealand has punched well above our weight in the global community. Clive is the first Kiwi to be elected to the international governance board’ said Ross Butler, Chairman of the YHA New Zealand Board.
YHA New Zealand which last year celebrated 75 years of operation in New Zealand provides 500,000 bed nights annually in its 53 hostels around New Zealand.
