for Gold on world stage
The All Blacks of New Zealand's hip hop scene leave for Las Vegas in 12 days to compete for the fourth time in the World hip hop International competition.
PRESTIGE crew leader Antoine Parseth says, "We feel honoured to represent New Zealand. We are working hard towards winning Gold this year and aim to entertain and inspire others. We are taking New Zealand hip hop to a whole new level and will represent this nation with pride"
World champions PRESTIGE have revolutionized the nation's creative arts by cultivating a strong urban hip hop scene, and placed hip hop firmly on the map.
Their recent name change from DZIAH to PRESTIGE marks the beginning of the crew's new journey, higher ambitions, and celebrates their international success.
John Beckett, Marketing Manager adidas New Zealand Ltd says, "Prestige is a talented world class Hip Hop Crew who bring to life their unmatched talent to reach into the minds of the younger generation and play an influential part in their lives, hopes and dreams."
DZIAH recently won gold in Europe, silver in Los Angeles in 2006 and bronze in Melbourne last year.
The world title championships attract the top hip hop crews from around the globe showcasing crews defying all odds and pushing the boundaries of the discipline to the extreme.
PRESTIGE manager Ness Johnson says, " They proudly represent our country and I would love to see more New Zealander's partnering with them in their dreams."
PRESTIGE are proudly supported by premier sponsors YMCA and ADIDAS originals.
The crew are currently fundraising $45,000 just to get to this international competition.
PRESTIGE aim as industry leaders is to not only inspire the next generation but to represent Aotearoa on the world stage with pride.
