Midnight Sessions To Aid Ticket Demand For The `The Dark KNIGHT’
21 July 2008 – Major cinema chains around New Zealand will now hold midnight sessions of THE DARK KNIGHT, starting from 12.01am on Thursday 24th, to help with demand for tickets, Roadshow Film Distributors announced today.
Cinema chains in NZ have experienced an extraordinary level of interest in the film, with tickets for key sessions in high demand.
THE DARK KNIGHT has broken box office records in the United States, taking an unprecedented US$155.3 million dollars this weekend in the US and Canada, smashing the record previously set by SPIDER-MAN 3 (US$151.1 million).
``Following the huge international success of the film, we want to ensure all New Zealanders have the opportunity to see THE DARK KNIGHT’’, said Lisa Hubbard, General Manager of Roadshow Film Distributors. ``Given the pressure that is already building on ticket sales for opening weekend, we're pleased to offer midnight screenings as another option for eager fans.’’
THE DARK KNIGHT is the hotly anticipated sequel to BATMAN BEGINS, starring Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker.
Please contact your local cinema for session details.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy Production, a Christopher Nolan film, `The Dark Knight’.
