Cheeky Team Cooking Arrives In New Zealand
Cheeky Team Cooking Arrives In New Zealand
August 2008;
Cheeky Food Group is one of the most successful team building companies in Australia – providing unique team cooking events to the conference industry. Now they’ve hit the shores of New Zealand with their recent launch event in Queenstown.
Cheeky Food Group, with help from Stephen Mills’ company, Encore Cuisine, held a team building familiarisation event at the stunning waterfront Prime Restaurant, on Lake Wakatipu.
But there were no chefs to cook for the guests! Instead, local conference organisers, hotel executives and event managers such as HQ Queenstown, Millennium Hotel, Dinamics, Novotel, Volution and Destination Queenstown experienced a true Cheeky Cooking Party. Together they cooked up a delicious meal, flambéed some prawns, set their dining table, then ate and enjoyed their feast with the stunning mountains as a back drop.
With great music, bubbles and laughs, the event was both fun and successful with the locals showing great interest. Cheeky Food Group Director, Leona Watson, says, “Quite simply I love New Zealand, especially Queenstown. And it’s such a perfect choice for the launch as so many New Zealand and Australian companies hold their conferences there. And whilst they are many fantastic outdoor activities, team cooking offers a fun action-based, indoor option for day and night. But we’re also looking at outdoor locations to make the most of Queenstown’s natural beauty. In addition, half of my Australian Events Team are from New Zealand, so there was also plenty of internal lobbying for NZ! As with all Cheeky events, we can set up in many hotels and conference centres across New Zealand, including Auckland, just as we do in Australia. For small groups up to several hundred…it’s easy as we’re totally portable.
“We can’t wait
to share our unique style of team building and client
entertainment with New Zealand
companies”.
