Weather and Wine Gods Smile On Toast Martinborough

Weather and wine gods smiled on the 17th Toast Martinborough Wine, Food and Music Festival as 10,000 enthusiasts soaked up the sun while tasting award-winning local wines. Organisers say the combination of great food, wine, music, friends and sunshine is unbeatable. Tickets to the festival sold out in a record 5 minutes.
Toast Martinborough General Manager Rachael Fletcher reported that the seasonal delicacy whitebait was exceptionally popular this year. "More than 3000 fritters were devoured between three sites, complimented by fine Martinborough wines.
The festival was thoroughly enjoyed by visitors from all over New Zealand and rising numbers of Australians, celebrating some of the best Martinborough wine and local food." she said.
